Terms and Conditions of Booking with Atacama Nomade

All tours or ideal plans published on our website, may differ from the advertising campaigns in terms of values of those advertised in the PR. We can assure you that if you book through our website or RR.SS, the price you saw in that channel of diffusion will be maintained, the published price will be respected, even if it has an increase later.The values expressed correspond to the Super offers that are usually found in the street of San Pedro de Atacama, we sell them to you in advance.

Reservations can be made through the website and the different RR.SS, as well as via WhatsApp or e-mail. To book you must provide your exact and real data to the operator who will attend you, such as, Name and Surname, Rut or Passport, Nationality, Lodging, and telephone of each of the people who will travel only so we can provide the best possible service.

We will propose a gradual acclimatization itinerary according to the days and your interests to make your stay in San Pedro the most pleasant of all.

Once the program and the names of the passengers are defined, we open your reservation. To confirm your reservation you must make a commitment payment of 10% of the final price.

The balance of 90% can be paid at the agency in San Pedro de Atacama. But before 20:30hr the day before the first excursion in the morning or at least 2 hours before the departure of the tour in the afternoon. At this time only cash payment will be accepted.

There are other online payment methods, but they must be arranged in advance with the operator of your reservation.

Return of 10% commitment

The 10% payment is refundable without any proof, you just have to request it in advance at least 24hrs before your arrival at the Calama Airport. The times to request such request must be from 9:00hrs to 20:00hrs local time.

If you have your reservation fully paid (100%) the refund must be requested to the operator of your reservation at least 24hrs before your arrival. No proof of payment is required, only in writing to the e-mail or WhatsApp contact. This refund is to the extent of the total amount paid if there were no commission charges in the form of payment. So we always suggest payment by bank transfer.

We know that sometimes there are difficulties when traveling so all our reservations can be transferred or resold only by the person who made the reservation with us. We will also refund the equivalent of 10% if a member of the group cancels the trip and we will accept that the space can be transferred to another passenger.

To make any of the above changes only the person who managed the reservation must communicate by the means it deems appropriate, preferably in writing by WhatsApp or e-mail. If you call us by voice to communicate your request for refunds or changes, the operator who will attend you is instructed to tell you that you must do so in writing.

The opening hours for this type of requests must be between 9am and 8pm, with the anticipation of not having arrived at the airport of Calama and / or San Pedro de Atacama. The times for refunds are 1 to 2 working days. There will be NO refunds for this 10% commitment payment in San Pedro de Atacama.

Next days of your arrival to San Pedro de Atacama

A few days before your arrival to San Pedro de Atacama, we will contact you on your WhatsApp, giving you important information about your reservation:

  • Agency location.
  • WhatsApp contact of the agency’s Operations Manager, who will serve as your 24hrs emergency contact.
  • A customer number and/or attention with a reminder of what you must pay in cash at the agency in San Pedro de Atacama.

Arrival at San Pedro de Atacama

Arriving in San Pedro de Atacama you should contact Javier Acevedo for final coordination and show them the departure points if required for the afternoon excursions or go directly to the tour operator agency.

In order to avoid problems we recommend you to carry cash before arriving to San Pedro de Atacama during the high season (vacations and/or long weekends). Here there are only 7 ATMs with a high demand (long lines), a BCI bank (opening hours Monday to Friday 9 to 14hrs) and a foreign currency exchange office (8hrs to 22hrs).

Warning! If you do not show up at the agency under these terms the reservation will automatically become null and void and you will lose the right to a refund of your commitment payment. Please note that no money is received during tour departures.

If you are unable to comply with this requirement you must tell the operator who sees your reservation to give you a solution with a second verified transfer via WhatsApp.

The opening hours of the agency are continuous from 10hrs to 21hrs, sometimes it may be closed during these hours, but it is only for a moment, as our agency staff will be doing some business in the neighborhood. You will always have a WhatsApp contact of the agency with 24hrs attention.

Agency Responsibility

Once you make the payment with the agency the responsibility of the tourist service will be exclusively with our agency staff, being themselves the direct executors of the necessary tourist operations of your program. Any claim, observation or congratulations must be directly with them, you will always have the direct contact of the Operations Manager as well as the Emergency Manager. The agency OPERADORA DEL SERVICIO TURISTICO is certified by SERNATUR with commercial patent in force with the municipality of San Pedro de Atacama.

Once the total payment has been made and the tours have been executed, you have the right to a 100% refund of the tour that is not carried out due to early cancellations by the agency due to force majeure. Scheduling changes or refunds from the agency are under strict provision of the National Transportation Law which states that you may recover 85% of the total value of the tour or program, but you must notify the agency at least 4 hours before the departure of the tour. And for early morning tours at least 3 hours before the closing time, requests must be made in person with the service ticket that we give you at the agency.

The agency staff should be responsible for guiding the passenger of the minimum notions to attend the excursions such as: time and place of pick up, cash you must carry to pay the entrance fees and the minimum recommendations of clothing and precautions with the height mainly. We recommend to review again the information described in our website.

The agency in San Pedro de Atacama is not responsible for your airport transfer, inquiries for your pick up time for your return transfer should be directly with the contact given to you at the airport with your reservation number.
